Queer-affirming supervision
in Texas.

Texas LMFT-Associates deserve supervision that doesn't ask them to leave their identity at the door. I hold an active LMFT license in Texas and am approved by the TSBEMFT as a Texas Approved Supervisor — the additional state-specific credential Texas requires beyond AAMFT approval. My supervision is telehealth-based, grounded in UDL and Buddhist Psychology, and built around how you actually learn.

Texas is the only state that requires supervisors to hold a separate state-issued Approved Supervisor credential in addition to AAMFT Approved Supervisor status. I hold both — TSBEMFT Approved Supervisor (effective 12/04/2024) and AAMFT Approved Supervisor — so your supervision hours will be fully recognized by the board.

The Approach

Two frameworks.
One integrated practice.

Every supervisory relationship I hold is grounded in two frameworks that I believe belong together: the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Buddhist Psychology.

UDL means supervision is built around how you learn — not a fixed template you have to fit yourself into. Multiple means of engagement, representation, and expression aren't accommodations; they're the design.

Buddhist Psychology brings impermanence, non-attachment, and compassionate awareness into the clinical frame — for your clients and for you. We hold the work lightly without holding it carelessly.

Universal Design for Learning

Supervision structured around your learning style, not a one-size-fits-all model. Flexible engagement, multiple modalities, and a pace that serves your development.

Buddhist Psychology

Mindfulness, impermanence, and compassionate non-attachment as clinical tools — for working with clients and for sustaining yourself in the work.

Queer & Trans Affirming

Identity-affirming supervision isn't a specialty add-on. It's the foundation. You don't have to translate yourself here.

Texas Licensing

What supervision looks like in Texas.

Supervision requirements are set by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists (TSBEMFT). All formats I offer — individual, group, and direct observation — are designed to meet your board's requirements while going well beyond the minimum.

Individual Supervision

  • Counts toward TSBEMFT individual hours
  • Weekly or biweekly sessions
  • Tailored to your caseload and growth edges
  • Hours documented for board submission
  • Consultee contract provided at start

Group Supervision

  • Counts toward TSBEMFT group hours
  • Max 8 supervisees (AAMFT standard)
  • Weekly cohort with queer clinicians
  • Rotating case presentations
  • Community you can't get in individual alone

Direct Observation

  • Live or recorded session review
  • Structured feedback form provided
  • Counts toward TSBEMFT observation hours
  • Available within individual supervision
  • Non-evaluative, growth-focused frame

Peer Consultation

  • For licensed LMFTs in Texas
  • Complex case consultation
  • Ethical dilemmas and dual relationships
  • Advanced LGBTQ+ clinical competency
  • No long-term commitment required
Note on Texas requirements: TSBEMFT requires 3,000 total supervised hours for LMFT licensure. A minimum of 200 supervision hours are required. Always verify current requirements directly with Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Your Supervisor

Mx. Love C. Dialogos,
LMFT

I'm a queer, genderless womxn (she/they) and licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I'm licensed in Texas (TX-205753) and hold AAMFT Approved Supervisor status.

My supervision practice is grounded in UDL and Buddhist Psychology — because I believe the most effective clinical work happens when clinicians feel genuinely seen and supported, not just evaluated.

I built this practice because the supervision I needed didn't exist when I was pre-licensed. I don't want that to be your story.
